  • Pluck

Pluck Tea was founded by Jennifer Commins in 2012 with a mission to fix restaurant tea. Today, the pluck team of tea makers is proud to produce a wide range of top quality infusions for tea drinkers who value quality and sustainability - wherever they may be.

Many of their ingredients are upcycled - which directly reduces food waste by repurposing fresh ingredients that could otherwise be diverted to compost.Citrus peel is saved and immediately dried for us by a local juice maker (who also happens to supply many of the restaurants we work with!). Cacao shells are reserved and roasted for us by a local bean-to-bar chocolatier.  Apple pieces are cut and dried from less-than-perfect looking locally grown apples and grape skins are saved for us after pressing for juice by Ann, winemaker at Southbrook Vineyards in Niagara.

  • Mel's Skin Laundry

What started as a little soap hobby for Melissa, has grown over the pandemic. She found she had time to research and examine the products that went into her soaps.  She spent hours pouring over books, looking at websites, testing other soaps, finding what she liked  (and what didn't work!). She was fascinated by the techniques that other soapers developed.  Melissa worked on recipes, and sourced natural, organic ingredients, and found what we all think is a very special bar of soap. Melissa is from the West Rouge area in Toronto, but she also travels to various farmers markets, so stop and say hi or check her out at www.melskinlaundry.com
